Senator McCormick Releases First Annual Letter to Pennsylvanians

Letter Outlines First-Year Progress, Challenges We Face, and Priorities Moving Forward

WASHINGTON, D.C., December 22, 2025 – Concluding his first year in office, Senator McCormick today released his first ever Annual Letter to Pennsylvanians, a performance report on his first year in office highlighting progress made on his commitments, challenges that remain, and the priorities he will pursue in the year ahead.

“As my first year in the United States Senate ends, I wanted to try a new way of reporting to my constituents that reflects the accountability I embraced in the private sector,” said Senator McCormick regarding his first Annual Letter. “I am the 54th Senator elected from Pennsylvania and the ninth Senator in American history to graduate from West Point. To hold this seat at such a consequential moment for our country and for the Commonwealth is the honor of a lifetime. I owe it to my fellow Pennsylvanians to give an honest assessment of the first year and to keep listening to their feedback.”

Before entering public service, Senator McCormick served as a CEO, where quarterly shareholder reports and ongoing performance assessments were essential to measuring success. When serving in the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division, he participated in formal after-action reviews designed to identify what worked, what didn’t, and what needed to change. Across both experiences, accountability for results mattered and this fundamental principle remains in place as the foundation for Senator McCormick’s first Annual Letter to Pennsylvanians.

“Accountability has always been the standard I hold myself to,” said Senator McCormick. “Whether in uniform or business, results were measured honestly and regularly. The people of Pennsylvania deserve the same standard. This letter is how I report back on what I’ve delivered, what remains unfinished, and what I see as the path ahead.”

Senator McCormick’s Annual Letter to Pennsylvanians includes his personal reflection and assessment of:

  • Establishing an active presence across Pennsylvania and creating a culture of service for constituent casework and communications
  • Delivering on day one promises to Pennsylvania families
  • Driving transformational change with ambitious goals and “long passes”
  •  Lessons learned and areas for improvement
  •  Key areas of focus for next year
