Senator McCormick Releases Statement on the Rural Healthcare Transformation Program

WASHINGTON, D.C., December 29, 2025 – Today, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced funding awards to all 50 states through the Rural Health Transformation Program, an unprecedented $50 billion initiative established through the Working Families Tax Cuts legislation. Following this announcement, Senator Dave McCormick (R-PA) released the following statement:

“The Trump Administration today announced the largest federal investment in rural healthcare in American history, which will deliver hundreds of millions of dollars in additional funding to Pennsylvania. This significant investment, which I strongly advocated for through the Working Families Tax Plan, will help Pennsylvania expand access to care and improve health outcomes, strengthen our rural health workforce, modernize facilities with the help of technology, and support new and innovative care models. Quality healthcare will now be more readily available close to home for rural Pennsylvania families.”
